A Walk in America

The project to be unveiled this summer at the ICA at the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine has emerged from my interest in history and current societal issues that center the participant in the adopted city site through sound technology. The listener is guided through the two-block area via binaural headphones and MP3 player issued by the ICA. Running at 28 minutes for the full version, and approximately 18 minutes for the weekend version, specific sites are explored where time and space are ephemeral and liquid, melding into one expansive experience that is taken in by all of the senses.
